He married Blanche Beatrice Tuttle on 28 June 1913, in Hamilton, Wentworth, Ontario, Canada. He immigrated to Quebec City, Quebec, Canada in 1906 and lived in Hamilton, Wentworth, Ontario, Canada in 1915. He registered for military service in 1915. In 1915, at the age of 24, his occupation is listed as chimney sweep in Hamilton, Wentworth, Ontario, Canada. He died on 9 November 1917, in Passendale, West Flanders, Belgium, at the age of 26, and was buried in Ieper, West Flanders, Belgium.
