Family Search: Lance-Corporal Burton Stewart was born on 10 November 1895, in Kincardine, Bruce, Ontario, Canada as the son of James McKay Stewart and Mary McLean. He registered for military service in 1914. In 1914, at the age of 19, his occupation is listed as lawyer. He died on 15 September 1916, in Courcelette, Somme, Picardie, France, at the age of 20.
Commemorated at the Fergus War Memorial.
