He registered for military service in 1916. In 1916, at the age of 18, his occupation is listed as farming in Brampton, Peel, Ontario, Canada. He died on 9 May 1917, in Neuville-Saint-Vaast, Pas-de-Calais, Nord-Pas-de-Calais, France, at the age of 19.
PTE. S.C. TERRY KILLED
According to word received by relatives n Brampton, Pte. S.C. Terry has made the supreme sacrifice. The fallen soldier enlisted in Toronto with the “Pals” Battalion, commanded by Lieut.-Col. Chadwick and went overseas from Camp Borden last August. He was attached to the scouts’ section.
