Family Search: Private Herbert Luther Wickens was born on 11 February 1895, in Brading, Isle of Wight, Hampshire, England as the son of George Wickens and Kate. He immigrated to Quebec City, Quebec, Canada in 1913. He registered for military service in 1914. In 1914, at the age of 19, his occupation is listed as railroad employee. He died on 10 April 1916, in Ieper, West Flanders, Belgium, at the age of 21, and was buried in Ieper, West Flanders, Belgium.
