Family Search: When Private George Young was born on 22 June 1884, in Kildrummy, Aberdeenshire, Scotland, United Kingdom, his father, David Young, was 50 and his mother, Christina Donald, was 36. He immigrated to Canada in 1913. He registered for military service in 1914. In 1914, at the age of 30, his occupation is listed as labourer. He died on 15 September 1916, in Courcelette, Somme, France, at the age of 32.
