Family Search: When Private Frederick Charles Axtell was born on 30 August 1895, in London West, Middlesex, Ontario, Canada, his father, George Alexander Axtell Jr., was 21 and his mother, Sarah Ann Phillips, was 20. He registered for military service in 1918. In 1931, at the age of 36, his occupation is listed as salesman. He died on 19 February 1980, in London, Ontario, Canada, at the age of 84, and was buried in Mount Pleasant Cemetery, West McGillivray, Middlesex, Ontario, Canada.
