He lived in Kent, Ontario, Canada in 1911. He died on 1 April 1967, at the age of 67, and was buried in Dresden Cemetery, Dresden, Chatham-Kent, Ontario, Canada.
According to the date of birth on the headstone above it is possible he added to years on his attestation paper. This would have made him, in actuality, 16 years old, as opposed to the 18 years old recorded on his attestation paper.
