He married Ethel May Grice on 15 July 1920, in Elgin, Ontario, Canada. He immigrated to Quebec City, Quebec, Canada in 1904 and lived in St. Thomas, Elgin, Ontario, Canada in 1921. He registered for military service in 1914. In 1914, at the age of 22, his occupation is listed as teamster. He died on 15 December 1964, in Ontario, Canada, at the age of 72, and was buried in Windsor Grove Cemetery, Windsor, Essex, Ontario, Canada.
