Family Search: When George Barker Cruickshank was born on 9 January 1883, in Glasgow, Lanarkshire, Scotland, United Kingdom, his father, George Barker Cruickshank, was 31 and his mother, Catherine Tait Stewart, was 31. He married Maud Hunter on 30 June 1922, in Waterloo, Ontario, Canada. He immigrated to Canada in 1907. He registered for military service in 1914. In 1914, at the age of 31, his occupation is listed as machinist. He died on 8 October 1961, in Ontario, Canada, at the age of 78, and was buried in Mount View Cemetery, Cambridge, Waterloo, Ontario, Canada.

WILLIAM DEWAR – The funeral of William Dewar, who died Thursday at Westminster Hospital in his 46th year, was held at 2.30 o’clock this afternoon from the Harrison & Skinner funeral home. Major the Rev. Dr. William Beattie conducted the service, assisted by Re. Dr. C.V. McLean, pastor of Dundas Centre United Church. The pallbearers were: Robert Bell, Thomas Davies, William Waite and George Cruickshanks. Interment was made in Woodland Cemetery.
