Joseph A. Graf
Joseph A. Graf of 24 Ezra Ave., Waterloo, died Sunday at K-W Hospital after a lengthy illness. He was 76.
He was born in Goderich on Oct. 29, 1894, a son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Graf. He had lived in Waterloo most of his life and had been employed for many years at the Globe Furniture Co. Ltd. until retiring in 1963. He served overseas in the First World War with the 18th Battalion of London, Ont.
He was a member of St. John’s Lutheran Church in Waterloo.
Surviving are two sons, Walter of Waterloo and Howard of Kitchener; two daughters, Norma of Waterloo and Mrs. Wayne (Tinkie) Markham of Elmhurst, Ill.; two brothers, Louis of Kitchener and Harold of Windsor; two sisters, Mrs. James (Mary) Speirs of Windsor and Mrs. Isaiah (Catherine) Sittler of Kitchener; and two grandchildren.
He was predeceased by his first wife in 1928, by his second wife in 1970 and by one brother, Harry.
The body is at the Edward R. Good Funeral Home until noon Wednesday. Service will be held at St. John’s Lutheran Church chapel on Wednesday at 1:30 p.m. with Rev. C. S. Roberts officiating. Burial will be in Mount Hope cemetery in Waterloo.
Donations to the building fund of St. John’s Lutheran Church will be accepted as expressions of sympathy.
