He married Annie Bristow on 1 March 1911, in Kingston, Frontenac, Ontario, Canada. They were the parents of at least 2 daughters. He lived in Frontenac, Ontario, Canada in 1901. He registered for military service in 1915. In 1915, at the age of 21, his occupation is listed as cook. He died on 22 September 1939, in Kingston, Frontenac, Ontario, Canada, at the age of 45, and was buried in Cataraqui Cemetery, Kingston, Frontenac, Ontario, Canada.
