George W. Hambleton
George W. Hambleton, 62, of 51 Weber St. East, died Tuesday at K-W Hospital after a lengthy illness.
A son of the late Mr. and Mrs. George Hambleton, he was born Dec. 26, 1897, in England. He lived in Kitchener the past 36 years and was a Kitchener post office letter carrier. He retired this May due to illness.
He was a member of the Zion Evangelical United Brethren Church, a veteran of the First World War and a member of the Twin City Lodge AF and AM.
He was predeceased by his first wife, the former Eunice Woods, in 1941 and one brother.
He is survived by his wife, the former Irene M. Wendt, whom he married in 1945; one daughter, Mrs. J. A. (Lillian) Johnson of Kitchener; three sisters, Mrs. Charles Bennett of Kitchener and Mrs. Clyde Bowman and Mrs. Archie Fraser, both of Brantford.
The body is at the Ratz-Bechtel Funeral Home where the funeral will be conducted Friday at 2 p.m. by Rev. F. M. Faist and Rev. G. F. Barthel. Burial will be in Woodland Cemetery.
