He registered for military service in 1915. In 1915, at the age of 31, his occupation is listed as labourer. He died on 13 August 1949, in Chatham, Kent, Ontario, Canada, at the age of 64, and was buried in Maple Leaf Cemetery, Chatham, Chatham-Kent, Ontario, Canada.
