He married Iola Susan Chegano on 30 November 1922, in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. They were the parents of at least 3 sons and 4 daughters. He registered for military service in 1915. In 1919, his occupation is listed as farmer and music teacher in Cape Croker, Neyaashiinigmiing, Bruce, Ontario, Canada. He died on 23 November 1961, in his hometown, at the age of 69.
