This man enlisted with the 111th Battalion at Preston, Ontario on 6 March 1916.

He, along with this battalion, was shipped to England for training and he arrived at Liverpool on 8 October 1916 aboard the SS Tuscania.

He was transferred to a series of reserve battalions until he was transferred for active combat duty with the 18th Battalion.

He was sent “overseas” and arrived at the 18th Battalion “in the field “on 2 May 1917.

He served with the 18th Battalion until he was discharged due to demobilization on 24 May 1919 at London, Ontario.
