He married Hannah Olivia Rowe on 15 June 1921, in London Township, Middlesex, Ontario, Canada. He immigrated to Canada in 1913. He registered for military service in 1915. In 1915, at the age of 26, his occupation is listed as labourer in London, Ontario, Canada. He died on 3 March 1954, in London, Ontario, Canada, at the age of 64, and was buried in Woodland Cemetery, London, Ontario, Canada.
