He married Beulah Audrey Ward on 14 January 1924, in Stratford, Perth, Ontario, Canada. They were the parents of at least 3 sons and 2 daughters. He lived in Lambton, Ontario, Canada for about 10 years and Forest, Lambton, Ontario, Canada in 1931. He registered for military service in 1914. He died on 18 February 1944, at the age of 47, and was buried in Beechwood Cemetery, Forest, Lambton, Ontario, Canada.
