Family Search: When Captain Peter McKay was born on 23 December 1884, in St. Vincent Township, Grey, Ontario, Canada, his father, Murdock McKay, was 27 and his mother, Mary Ann Latimer, was 25. He immigrated to Superior, Douglas, Wisconsin, United States in 1922 and lived in Grey, Ontario, Canada in 1911 and Point Edward, Lambton, Ontario, Canada in 1916. He registered for military service in 1916. In 1916, at the age of 32, his occupation is listed as sailor in Point Edward, Lambton, Ontario, Canada. He died on 6 February 1937, in Meaford, Grey, Ontario, Canada, at the age of 52, and was buried in McLean’s Cemetery, Bognor, Simcoe, Canada West, British North America.
