Friends with Lance-Corporal Harry Hugh Jameison, reg. no. 226507.

“For conspicuous gallantry and devotion to duty in front of PASSCHENDAELE on Nov: 10th 1917. This N.C.O. was in charge of a party carrying out wounded, which work had to be carried out across ground exposed to enemy view and under heavy machine gun and shell fire. With great courage and persistency he carried out his work so that no wounded men were left uncared for or exposed for any length of time, thus saving several who would otherwise have suffered severely from exposure (A.F.W. 3121. 19-11-17)”
