He registered for military service in 1915. In 1915, at the age of 28, his occupation is listed as labourer. He died on 21 November 1968, in London, Ontario, Canada, at the age of 81, and was buried in Saint Peter’s Lutheran Cemetery, Zurich, Bluewater, Huron, Ontario, Canada.
