He married Lily Shields on 21 June 1921, in Windsor, Essex, Ontario, Canada. They were the parents of at least 3 daughters. He immigrated to Detroit, Wayne, Michigan, United States in 1911 and lived in Maidstone, Kent, England, United Kingdom in 1911 and Windsor, Sandwich, Essex, Ontario, Canada for about 12 years. He registered for military service in 1914. In 1914, at the age of 22, his occupation is listed as grocer. He died on 24 June 1957, in Windsor, Essex, Ontario, Canada, at the age of 65, and was buried in Windsor Grove Cemetery, Windsor, Essex, Ontario, Canada.
