He married Gertha Macphail on 3 July 1919, in Palmerston, Wellington, Canada West, British North America. They were the parents of at least 1 daughter. He lived in Southampton, Bruce, Ontario, Canada in 1921 and in Toronto, York, Ontario, Canada in 1931. He registered for military service in 1914. In 1931, at the age of 38, his occupation is listed as an engineer in Toronto, York, Ontario, Canada. He died on 5 January 1991, in London, Ontario, Canada, at the age of 98, and was buried in Priceville, Grey, Ontario, Canada.
