He immigrated to New Orleans, Orleans, Louisiana, United States in 1944. He registered for military service in 1915. In 1915, at the age of 20, his occupation is listed as clerk. He died on 8 March 1962, in Baltimore, Maryland, United States, at the age of 66, and was buried in Moreland Memorial Park, Parkville, Baltimore, Maryland, United States.

Born U.S.A. May have some connection to Private Walter George Ross, reg. no. 54353 also joined and served in the 18th Battalion. W.G. Ross enlisted under an assumed name and many not be related. It also puts some concern to the veracity of the attesation information given by this soldier.
His death is registered under this name. See attached Veterans Death Card.
