Ross, was 32 and his mother, Ettie Ann Mckay, was 28. He married Nellie Pullen on 11 May 1920, in London, Middlesex, Canada West, British North America. They were the parents of at least 1 son. He lived in Parkhill, North Middlesex, Middlesex, Ontario, Canada in 1917 and London, Ontario, Canada in 1922. He registered for military service in 1917. In 1917, at the age of 23, his occupation is listed as farmer in Parkhill, North Middlesex, Middlesex, Ontario, Canada. He died in 1985, at the age of 91, and was buried in Mount Pleasant Cemetery, West McGillivray, Middlesex, Ontario, Canada.

He reported for military service under the MSA (1917) at London, Ontario on 27 November 1917.

He arrived in England on 4 March 1918 aboard the SS Cretic and was transferred for active combat duty on 31 August 1918 and arrived “in the field” on 28 August 1918.

He was sent ot the 5th Canadian Infantry Brigade for Guard Duty from 16 to 26 February 1919. He returned to the 18th Battalion.

He served the rest of the war with the 18th and was discharged due to demobilization on 24 May 1919 at London, Ontario.
