Family Search: When Private George E. Sandles was born on 8 June 1895, in Tipperary, County Tipperary, Ireland, his father, Thomas Dennis Sandles, was 38 and his mother, Ellen Blackwell, was 31. He married Jemina Strain Pollock on 10 October 1919, in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. They were the parents of at least 3 sons and 2 daughters. He immigrated to Canada in 1913 and lived in Cloughjordan, County Tipperary, Ireland in 1901. He died on 14 November 1977, in Toronto, Ontario, Canada, at the age of 82, and was buried in Toronto, Ontario, Canada.
