Family Search: When Private George Francis Singleton was born on 27 February 1897, in Hackney, London, England, United Kingdom, his father, Joseph Frederick Singleton, was 23 and his mother, Elizabeth Mary Ann Le Conte, was 24. He married Rose Lovett on 22 August 1925, in Brant, Ontario, Canada. They were the parents of at least 2 sons and 2 daughters. He immigrated to Port Huron, St. Clair, Michigan, United States in 1909 and lived in Brantford, Brant, Ontario, Canada in 1924 and Sarnia, Lambton, Ontario, Canada in 1931. He registered for military service in 1915. In 1931, at the age of 34, his occupation is listed as labourer. He died on 21 July 1955, at the age of 58, and was buried in Resurrection Cemetery, Sarnia, Lambton, Ontario, Canada.
His brother, Alfred Frederick Singleton, served with him in the 18th Battalion, and their father, Joseph Frederick Singleton, also enlisted and served.
