Family Search: When Private James Benjamin Walden Jr. was born on 29 July 1893, in Kincardine, Bruce, Ontario, Canada, his father, James Benjamin Walden Sr., was 26 and his mother, Margaret Elizabeth Corey, was 23. He married Josephine Alberta Waldron on 3 November 1921, in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. They were the parents of at least 1 son and 1 daughter. He immigrated to United States in 1910 and lived in Grey, Ontario, Canada in 1901. He registered for military service in 1917. In 1928, at the age of 35, his occupation is listed as automotive supply business, owner in London, Ontario, Canada. He died on 6 November 1928, in London, Ontario, Canada, at the age of 35, and was buried in Mount Pleasant Cemetery, West McGillivray, Middlesex, Ontario, Canada.

James B. Walden, jun., well-known resident of London, died at his residence, 22 Christie street, yesterday, following a short illness. Mr. Walden was in his 36th year. The deceased was born in Arkwright, Ontario, and went to London with his parents at an early age. Prior to the war he traveled for the Champion Spark Plug Company in the United States and at the outbreak of the war returned to Canada and enlisted with the Canadian forces, with whom he served for over two years. On returning from overseas he entered the automotive business again and for the past four years conducted a supply business on Talbot street. He was an ardent devotee of golf and was a member of the Highland Golf Club. He was also a member of the Masonic order and a member of the Hermitage Club, a member of the congregation of New St. James’ Presbyterian church, and took a great interest in the activities of the younger people. The late Mr. Walden is survived by his widow (nee Miss Josephine Waldron of Brantford); two children, a son, James, and one daughter, Norma; also by his parents, two brothers, William and Lee, both of this city, and one sister, Mrs. Fox, of Detroit, Mich. The funeral will be held from his late residence to-morrow, with services at 2 p.m. Rev. James Mackay, of New St. James church, will officiate. Interment will be made in the family plot at Woodland cemetery.
