He immigrated to Canada in 1913 and lived in Lee, Lewisham, London, England, United Kingdom in 1901 and St. Thomas, Elgin, Ontario, Canada in 1922. He registered for military service in 1914. In 1914, at the age of 28, his occupation is listed as clerk. He died on 3 January 1968, in Ottawa, Carleton, Ontario, Canada, at the age of 81, and was buried in St. Thomas Cemetery, St. Thomas, Elgin, Ontario, Canada.
