Family Search: When Private Albert Henry Ward was born on 19 January 1886, in Lee St Margaret, Kent, England, United Kingdom, his father, Albert James Ward, was 32 and his mother, Florence Lucy Burnand, was 29. He immigrated to Canada in 1913 and lived in Lee, Lewisham, London, England, United Kingdom in 1901 and St. Thomas, Elgin, Ontario, Canada in 1922. He registered for military service in 1914. In 1914, at the age of 28, his occupation is listed as clerk. He died on 3 January 1968, in Ottawa, Carleton, Ontario, Canada, at the age of 81, and was buried in St. Thomas Cemetery, St. Thomas, Elgin, Ontario, Canada.
