WARD — Sidney, 77 of 98 Wellington St., Blenheim, retired farmer, died Thursday at the Public General Hospital, Chatham. A veteran of the First World War, and Veteran’s Guard during the Second World War, he was a member of Branch 185, Royal Canadian Legion, Blenheim. Survived by wife, the former Lottie Walker; daughters, Mrs. Clarence (Leora) Rodwell, Blenheim, Mrs. Byron (Jean) Toll, South Harwich, Mrs. Frank (Blanche) Burke, Blenheim, Mrs. James (Shirley) Green, Dresden; sons, John, Blenheim, Sydney, Fenwick, and Roy, Blenheim; 16 grandchildren and five great grandchildren. Funeral services, Saturday, 2 p.m. from the J. L. Ford Funeral Home, Blenheim, with Dr. J. H. Webster, Blenheim Anglican Church officiating, assisted by Sydney Locke. Legion memorial service, tonight at 8 o’clock at funeral home. Burial, Evergreen Cemetery, Blenheim.
