Family Search: Sergeant Jesse Edward Weaver was born on 18 May 1897, in St. Catharines, Lincoln, Ontario, Canada as the son of John Weaver and Elizabeth Meighen. He married Jessie Lawrence Low on 28 July 1921, in St. Catharines, Niagara, Ontario, Canada. They were the parents of at least 2 daughters. He registered for military service in 1915. In 1915, at the age of 18, his occupation is listed as machine hand. He died on 5 January 1971, in Buffalo, Erie, New York, United States, at the age of 73, and was buried in Holy Cross Cemetery, Lackawanna, Erie, New York, United States.

158734 Sergeant Jesse Edward Weaver, MM. Born in St Catharines, he was 18 years old when he joined the 81st Battalion, CEF. He had already served three years in the 19th “Lincoln” Regiment. Earned while serving in the 18th Battalion. Gazetted 1918. No citation.285
