He married Jessie Lawrence Low on 28 July 1921, in St. Catharines, Niagara, Ontario, Canada. They were the parents of at least 2 daughters. He registered for military service in 1915. In 1915, at the age of 18, his occupation is listed as machine hand. He died on 5 January 1971, in Buffalo, Erie, New York, United States, at the age of 73, and was buried in Holy Cross Cemetery, Lackawanna, Erie, New York, United States.
