He married Harriet Charlotte Louisa Hamilton on 22 March 1921, in Stratford, Perth, Ontario, Canada. He immigrated to Canada in 1913 and lived in Fochabers, Morayshire, Scotland, United Kingdom in 1901 and Perth, Ontario, Canada in 1911. He died on 19 May 1962, in Windsor, Essex, Ontario, Canada, at the age of 68, and was buried in Avondale Cemetery, Stratford, Perth, Ontario, Canada.MORE
Note that this soldier lost an eye due to this accident. The service record has no accident investigation on file. Possibly because it was so obviously an accident or the documents were lost. It was normal to have an investigation immediately after the event.
