He married Bertha Agnes Taylor on 28 March 1911, in St Alfege’s Church, Greenwich, Kent, England, United Kingdom. They were the parents of at least 2 sons and 2 daughters. He immigrated to Quebec, Quebec, Canada in 1916 and lived in Woodstock, Oxford, Ontario, Canada in 1921 and Toronto, York, Ontario, Canada in 1947. He registered for military service in 1914. In 1914, at the age of 26, his occupation is listed as cook. He died on 19 November 1947, in Toronto, Ontario, Canada, at the age of 58, and was buried in The Beaches, Toronto, Ontario, Canada.
