Family Search: Private Otto Oaks Whythe was born on 22 December 1895, in Norwich, Oxford, Ontario, Canada as the son of George A. Whythe and Louisa Milne. He registered for military service in 1914. In 1914, at the age of 19, his occupation is listed as time keeper. He died on 15 November 1918, in Galt, Waterloo, Ontario, Canada, at the age of 22, and was buried in Trinity Anglican Cemetery, Cambridge, Waterloo, Ontario, Canada

His brother was conscripted. Garnet Nathan Whythe, reg. no. 3131751.
