He married Jane Johnston on 25 February 1920, in London, Middlesex, Canada West, British North America. They were the parents of at least 1 daughter. He immigrated to Canada in 1913 and lived in Mount Brydges, Middlesex, Ontario, Canada in 1919 and London, Ontario, Canada in 1931. He registered for military service in 1914. In 1914, at the age of 21, his occupation is listed as farm labourer. He died in 1971, at the age of 78, and was buried in Mount Pleasant Cemetery, West McGillivray, Middlesex, Ontario, Canada.
