Note: this post has been corrected to reflect update information brought to my attention. All the men below where brothers and William David was incorrectly identified as their father. Their father was Abraham Broadbent and Mary Jane Broadbent nee Bump.
The Broadbent family from Mitchell Bay, Ontario sent 4 family members to war. All of them served in the Canadian Expeditionary Forces. 3 brothers served in the 18th Battalion, though at this time it has not been determined how their service dates with the Battalion overlapped. In addition their brother William David served with 47th Battalion and served in France until he was wounded.
A follow up entry will review this family’s service in more detail.

Thanks to who ever did this work. Excellent. I am the grandson of Arthur, Only one problem William David is a fourth brother not their father. Their father was Abraham who was born in 1849 and the Mother was Mary Jane Bump. The daughter of Arthur my mother has confirmed William was a brother.
